Context

Challenges
- High-Variation Design Execution: The project consisted of 78 unique designs, all provided at the outset. While the designs remained stable throughout the process, each required independent color calibration, material matching, and structural verification due to the absence of repetition.
- Compressed Production Timeline: A fixed and limited production window required all confirmation, production, and quality inspection stages to be completed within a tightly coordinated schedule.
- Electrical Compatibility Requirements: As the power supply system was sourced independently, accurate, measured power consumption data was required to ensure compatibility with the on-site electrical system during installation.
Each signage set needed to meet visual, structural, and electrical standards while remaining installation-ready for deployment in a public urban environment.
Process
Phase 1: Material Benchmarking & Detail Alignment
Physical color swatches of acrylic neon-style materials were provided to support accurate color selection against the pre-defined designs. During technical confirmation, detailed alignment was conducted across individual components, including consistency between acrylic faces and stainless steel base finishes. This early-stage benchmarking reduced the risk of visual deviation across the full set of unique designs.
Phase 2: Measured Power Validation & Production Synchronization
Following sample validation, actual wattage testing was conducted to generate precise power consumption data for integration with the independently sourced power supply system.
Production progress was synchronized through phased documentation, allowing alignment on structure, wiring logic, and durability standards before final assembly.
Phase 3: Dynamic Quality Control
Quality checkpoints were embedded throughout production to verify color accuracy, dimensional consistency, and structural stability for each unique design.
This staged inspection approach ensured that all signage sets entering final packaging met confirmed specifications and were suitable for continuous public use.
Phase 4: Structured Packaging & Installation Support
A structured packaging system was developed, grouping the 78 signage sets into five clearly labeled wooden crates based on deployment zones.
To support efficient on-site installation by non-technical teams, detailed installation guidelines were provided, including mounting specifications, screw standards, and thread depth requirements, ensuring stable installation on urban infrastructure.
